Frequently asked questions about Lake Como proposals

We have never been to Lake Como. Can you help us plan?

Yes. Many of our couples live far away. We suggest locations that fit your budget, schedule and taste, help you find the right boat company or vendors, and choose the best time for the light.

Why should we book local Lake Como proposal experts instead of a general planner?

Living on Lake Como gives us first-hand knowledge of seasonal light conditions, secret non-touristy spots, private boat vendors, and direct relationships with historic villas to secure photo permits quickly and hassle-free.

How far in advance should we book?

There is no fixed rule, but we recommend contacting us at least 2 to 3 months before your proposal, so we can check both our availability and the villa’s. Some villas, like Villa del Balbianello, are often booked 6 to 7 months in advance, and sometimes up to a year. Others are easier to book, and Lake Como also has many beautiful places open to everyone that need no reservation.

What happens if it rains?

We always find a solution. Many villas and hotels have covered terraces or indoor spaces, and we are flexible with timing: in case of a thunderstorm we can wait for the rain to ease before starting.
