Elopement

As Italians, we discovered what an elopement is by working with our foreign couples. In Italy it is not in fact a custom but abroad it is becoming so. Why elope? What can the advantages be? And then, why plan an elopement in Italy? There are couples who, for the most varied reasons, decide to fully enjoy the intimacy of their wedding day. They leave behind family pressures, the stress of the wedding planning, the sometimes difficult choice of who to invite and who not. Instead, they open up to a myriad of possibilities including the freedom to choose the best wedding location in Italy in line with their tastes, the possibility of even affording an expensive and luxury wedding venue in Italy. Eloping means being able to declare eternal love in the most beautiful and unforgettable places. And doing it in Italy is definitely a romantic, unique, trendy choice!

In Italy you can get married basically anywhere with the right permits and the right documents so that your dream wedding will also have legal value. Otherwise, you can decide to plan a symbolic outdoor ceremony by bringing forward or postponing the civil ceremony in your home country to streamline the process.

Of course, eloping means giving up so many family and friends that you would like with you or, in any case, choosing a very limited number.

We have couples who, after their wedding and their honeymoon in Italy, still organize a big party at home to celebrate with relatives and friends. Others, on the other hand, prefer to keep their choice confidential. How wonderful to be able to be free to choose! All the more reason though, eloping means having the freedom to move to fabulous places at the best times.

To experience the most original landscapes, from the Alps to the Amalfi Coast, to go further with the imagination. And here you necessarily need a talented and creative wedding photographer and videographer because there will be so many situations to catch, and very intense feelings to be documented.

We’ve photographed many elopements in our 15 years of experience, and it’s always amazing stories. It may be that we are still enthusiastic about the job we do but we continue to see only the advantages of this choice. Flexibility: the wedding date can also be changed while planning, as well as the time line of the day. Does it rain? We postpone the ceremony for a couple of hours or move everything inside, to an intimate but equally wonderful place.
